Who is
Bruno Poh?
Chief Executive Officer
Advocate & Solicitor of Singapore
Investor & Advisor

I am a Singapore-qualified lawyer and CEO of Mezzanine Enterprise—a consolidation of professional services firms delivering integrated risk, compliance, and operational solutions. I also founded Eastern Mezzanine Law Corporation, advising on payment services, regulatory frameworks, and wealth management.
Before these ventures, I was a General Counsel and Head of Corporate Services at a major payment institution, leading regulatory strategy and corporate infrastructure. Having also founded Eastern Mezzanine Law Corporation, I thrive in the payments sector, with deep expertise in regulatory frameworks and asset management.
Also, I built the organisation’s regulatory backbone from the ground up, including AML/CFT frameworks, KYC and KYB capabilities, enterprise risk management systems, and internal audit functions.
My expertise extends to privacy and cybersecurity, where I designed and implemented data protection frameworks across multiple organisations. I continue to serve as a Data Protection Officer for various entities today, where I demonstrate that governance comprises two core pillars: 1) as a compliance requirement, and 2) as a strategic enabler of sustainable growth.
Today, I operate at the intersection of law, regulation, and business, combining technical rigour with practical execution. My experience across regulatory licensing, compliance architecture, and corporate structuring serves me well, as it informs my role as a trusted advisor to companies seeking to scale responsibly within Singapore’s highly regulated landscape.
Architect of Standards, Sustainability, and Scale
Having managed outsourced vendors from lawyers and auditors to development houses over the course of my career, I often found myself picking up after the very firms engaged to do the job. As services get increasingly commoditised, professionals cherry-pick where to value-add. I find this trend disconcerting.
Whether it is the strategic deployment of AI into internal systems as opposed to external engagements, or the manner of equity distribution to teams, I have since deliberately steered my businesses against the grain.
Framework
I follow a simple framework: begin with sound infrastructure, fuel growth with investments, and lay the ground for commercialisation and even exits.
Why I Do What I Do
In Singapore, the middle- and back-office industry has become deeply commoditised, with work becoming demoralisingly transactional. Business owners find themselves engaging with an array of vendors and managing a multitude of conversations. Corporations lose efficiencies, pay more, and get less done. I experienced this myself, over many years.
I am to change this.
The Mezzanine Group:
High-touch Professionals
I founded the Mezzanine Group at a time when the rhetoric was against routine professional work. Today, our ecosystem comprises of 6 distinct business units, each specialising in a core service verticals, and led by boardroom-ready, industry-tested practitioners.
Whereas competitors use AI as a means to reduce staff interactions, Mezzanine companies make it a point for client servicing to remain high-touch. Agentic and generative AI are instead meaningfully deployed to make internal processes more efficient. We want to interact with clients, not shy away from them.
From Innovation to Infrastructure
I value vision that is grounded, precise, and consistent. I have the knack of building systems and structures that streamline innovative efforts into commercialisable infrastructure.
Prioritising Governance as Culture
I find many owners realising the importance of governance too late, often after (bad) habits form and culture made. What is often perceived to be redundant is in fact a valuable investment into the future of the business.
The Ecosystem Advantage
Our Business units—ranging from legal and compliance to marketing and training—operate with autonomy and trust, functioning as force multipliers for business owners. We apply our collective experience to help our clients achieve their ROIs and attain success.
Proven Experience, Evidence-Based Results
I forged my perspective through my personal experience with high-stakes failures and momentous successes.
The Operator
I have operated alone, and have operated cross-border teams. I have personally performed basic payroll and bookkeeping and undertaken complex cross-border M&A deals myself. My experience is real, tangible, and operational.
The Investor
I leverage my networks, access, and experience in marketing, legal, and financial services when making investments in selected sectors. I unearth niches and value sustainability.
The Professional
Given my background in GRC, legal, and investing , I view structure as function. This applies to my art studio as much as it applies to a fintech giant.

The Roadmap Ahead
In the next 12 months, I will drive the operational sustainability and profitability of Mezzanine Enterprise’s business units.
What started out as a single corporate service has grown into six thriving business lines. Over the next five years, I aim to set-up a unique network across APAC that supports businesses with such a high standard of care that redefines true professionalism.
On a Personal Note
As a father and a business owner, I’ve learned that the ability to thrive is the same no matter the environment. Whether I’m at home or at work, this all boils down to my structure. What does this look like?
In essence: Aspiration, Autonomy, and Accountability.
